2Meditate is an App and website to offer a global meditation experience for the digital age.
Based on well-established and researched techniques, we aim to create an interactive community of worldwide meditators. Join a 2 or 20 minute sessions of monthly changing guided meditations and meditate with others around the world. Find a buddy or join a group, and schedule meditations with your group of friends across time zones. Chat with each other afterwards and share your feedback. 2Meditate aims to unite meditators anywhere, any time, from any part of the world.
Born in India and trained as a computer programmer, Swati Desai came to Los Angels and received her Ph.D. in Management from the Anderson School at UCLA in 1992. She worked and taught in the field of Computer Information Systems. After years of dabbling in Jungian Psychology and working as a paraprofessional counselor, she began her graduate work in Clinical Social Work and received MSW from UCLA and LCSW license to practice in California.
As a mental wellness practitioner, Swati passionately combines her heritage in Eastern wisdom and her training in Western reasearch based analytical methods. She has been in private practice at Akasha Center for Integrative Medicine for ten years. She uses her background and intense training in Vipasana (mindfulness) meditation practice to help people deal with trauma, anxiety, and difficult emotions. She conducts meditation workshops, holds meditation groups, and uses mindfulness philosophy in individual sessions to allow people to exprience the power of mindfulness meditions in going through difficult periods in life. Her dream is to allow meditators an easy access to meditation groups through sessions to allow people to exprience the power of mindfulness meditations in going through difficult periods in life. Swati blogs extensively for huffington Post and Positively Positive, and wrote several columns for the Times of India. She has appeared on a TV show in India called "Good Life". Her faith in "Global Citizenship" is reflected in her writing as well as her purposeful travels to India, China, Hong Kong, and Europe.

Trudy is the Founder and Guiding Teacher of Insight LA, a premier mindfulness meditation and teaching centre in Los Angeles since 2002. Trudy is extensively trained and highly accomplished in both meditation and psychotherapy. In spite of her extremely busy schedule, she has been generous in extending needed help for 2meditate to become global.
Lisa’s unmatched enthusiasm for global peace and harmony was essential for 2Meditate to start blossoming. A passionate activist for the environment, Lisa sits on numerous boards and extends crucial help to several humanistic causes.
Lisa Nestor is a graduate student at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Her studies are in the area of marketing and entrepreneurship with a focus in consumer finance and technology. Prior to her MBA Lisa spent 3 years in India as a Research Manager where she oversaw a portfolio of large scale field experiments evaluating innovative a portfolio of large scale field experiments evaluating innovative finance and technology products for the poor. Lisa is a former US peace Corps volunteer and earned BSBA in Economics from Appalachian State University.
Ethan is a senior at Harvard-Westlake School, where he also runs the radio station and works on the literary magazine. He is fond of Animal school, where he also runs the radio station and works on the literary magazine. He is fond of Animal Collective and David Foster Wallace.
Vikram is an artist living in Los Angeles. He has worked on various documentary, narrative and corporate films as well as in motion picture advertising. He received a commendation for his documentary 60 Years of Service from the Non Profit Organization ARC of Essex Country and released the short film The Gospel of St. Jive available at http://www.saintjive.com He earned his B.F.A.from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
